Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC was born March 4, 1954. O'Hara is the proud winner of several awards that include an award called the Genie Award. In the year 2018, she was named an Officer of Canada and in 2020, she was presented with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara first made her appearance as an actor in 1974, when she was in The Second City, an Improv comedy group in Toronto. She was part of the main cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978) together with John Candy and Dan Aykroyd. O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd began work in Second City Television's sketch comedy program (1976-1984). O'Hara received high praise for her comedy acting and writing skills which earned her an Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for an episode of a Variety Series in 1982. O'Hara was a member of the newly formed Second City artistic Advisory Board that was headed by Stephen Colbert. Other members of the board included Dwayne Colbert. Tina Fey. Keegan–Michael Key.
